Frequently asked questions

Answers on the GetHomeAuctionSites offer: what is included, revisions, articles, the AI Engine, hosting, domains, moving your current site and billing.

The offer

What do I actually get for the monthly fee?

A custom-coded website for your auction firm: a lot page for every property you sell, county and sale-type pages, a bidder registration form connected to your CRM, managed hosting, weekly listing updates, and researched articles. Lot Sheet covers the site itself; Sale Day adds the AI Engine; Full Docket adds the Content Engine. Every plan carries the same one-time build fee, invoiced only after your site is live and approved.

How long until my site is live?

7 days on Lot Sheet, 10 on Sale Day while the AI agents are trained, and 15 on Full Docket with the content program running from day one. The clock starts at your onboarding call, not at purchase, so the sooner your onboarding form is in, the sooner you are live.

Can the site handle a sale-day traffic spike?

Yes. Every page is custom coded and served from Cloudflare's global edge, and we guarantee a 90+ PageSpeed score on both mobile and desktop, not only on the day the site launches. Sale-day traffic on an auction site is rarely even, and the site is built to hold up the same way at peak traffic as it does on a quiet Tuesday.

Getting started

What happens straight after I buy?

You fill in the onboarding form and submit it. It asks for your business details, the counties and sale types you serve, your first properties or upcoming sales, your brand, your domain and where enquiries should land, and it takes about 15 minutes. If something is missing, submit anyway: you can send the rest by email or raise it as a ticket in your client portal, and it will not hold up the build. We then run one onboarding call to fill any gaps and agree the launch date.

What is the client portal?

It is your account with us, and you get it the day your site goes live. From the portal you request revisions, raise a support ticket for anything that needs attention, send us files you still owe us, such as new lot photos or updated terms, and message our team directly. You never log in to the website itself; we handle that side.

Can we launch with only one or two properties listed?

Yes. Many firms launch with whatever sales are currently active, even if that is a single lot page, and add more as new properties come to market. Each new lot page after launch is one of your included monthly revisions.

Revisions and the client portal

What counts as a revision, and what happens after five?

A revision is any change request you send, and there is no limit on how much goes into one. A new lot page, a new county page, updated sale terms, replaced photos, a status change from scheduled to sold: each is one revision, and so is something much larger. "Build three new county pages, here is the copy for each" is one revision, not three. 5 are included every month. After the fifth, each additional revision is a flat $20, with no cap on how many you can buy. Every revision is completed within 2 to 5 working days, whatever the size.

How do I actually request a change to a listing?

Raise it in your client portal. You describe the change and attach anything we need, whether that is a new photo set, a corrected opening bid or a status update, and it lands with the team as a tracked request. You can also email us and we log it for you. Unused revisions do not roll over to the next month.

Articles

What do the articles actually cover for an auction firm?

Auction process and terminology, what to expect at registration and on sale day, general context on the counties you serve, and plain-language explainers on sale formats like absolute, reserve and online-only bidding. Every figure is cited to a real source; we do not invent statistics to fill space. Lot Sheet and Sale Day run 2 researched articles a week at 2,500 to 3,200 words; Full Docket runs 3 a week.

Can we suggest article topics or ask for one to be corrected?

Yes. Send a topic or a correction through your client portal and it is handled as part of your regular article schedule for a topic suggestion, or as a priority fix for a correction. We are not attorneys or licensed auctioneers, so any article touching legal or procedural detail is written from public, cited sources rather than as advice for a specific transaction.

The AI Engine

What does the AI Engine actually answer for a bidder?

On Sale Day and Full Docket, the AI receptionist, site chat and SMS, Messenger and Instagram AI agents answer common questions about registration steps, deposit requirements and general sale terms, day or night. They are configured never to give advice on a specific property, valuation or legal question, and to hand anything like that to a person on your team.

Do we get a record of what the AI agents were asked?

Yes, every call is summarized into a call-analysis PDF: who called, what they asked, and what they were told, so your team can review activity without listening to every recording.

What is A2P 10DLC and why does it matter for text messaging?

It is the carrier registration required in the United States before a business can send text messages at scale without them being flagged as spam. We file it for you as part of setting up the AI Engine's SMS agent, so texted registration confirmations and reminders actually reach a bidder's phone.

Hosting and management

Is hosting an extra cost?

No. Hosting is included in the monthly fee and never billed separately. Your site runs on Cloudflare's global network with SSL, CDN, DDoS protection and unmetered bandwidth included, which matters on the days your traffic spikes hardest: the final hours before a sale closes.

Who is responsible for keeping the site online and secure?

We are. Managed hosting means we handle uptime, security patching and performance as part of the plan. You do not need a developer, a hosting account, or anyone on staff watching for outages.

Domains

Do I have to pay for a domain?

No. One domain is included free for as long as your plan is active, registered in your name through Cloudflare Registrar or Spaceship, so you own it outright. If you already have a domain we point it at the new site instead and nothing changes for people who know your current address. If you ever leave, we transfer the domain to you at no charge.

Can we use a domain that matches a specific sale or brand, separate from our main site?

A second domain can be pointed at the site as an additional revision; ask us during onboarding or through your client portal and we will confirm what is involved for your setup.

Moving from your current site

We already have a website with active lot listings. What happens to them?

Tell us your current site during onboarding and we review what is worth keeping: active lot pages, past sale results, and any pages ranking in search. We rebuild what matters into the new site and set up redirects from your old URLs so a bidder who bookmarked a listing, or a search result pointing at your old page, still lands somewhere useful.

Will we lose our search ranking when we move to the new site?

Proper redirects from old URLs to their new equivalents are the main protection against a ranking drop during a migration, and we set those up as part of onboarding. Beyond that, our 90+ PageSpeed guarantee and ongoing article program are aimed at improving visibility from where you started, not just preserving it.

Billing and cancellation

What do I actually pay, and when?

You pay the monthly fee for the tier you choose up front: $127, $267 plus AI usage, or $647 a month. The $697 one-time build fee is invoiced only after your site is live and you are satisfied with it. Domain and hosting are inside the monthly figure.

How do I cancel, and how much notice do you need?

Email us and say you want to cancel. Your message must reach us at least 2 business days before your next invoice date, during business hours, which are 9:00 to 17:00 Central Time, Monday to Friday. A message sent outside those hours counts from the start of the next business day, so a weekend email does not give 2 business days of notice for an invoice due Monday or Tuesday. With valid notice, no further invoice is raised and your site runs to the end of the month you have paid for. With late notice, the next invoice is charged as normal and the cancellation takes effect at the end of that month.

Do you offer refunds?

No. All sales are final, and that includes monthly fees, the build fee, extra revisions and any cost we pass through at what our providers charge us. We do not refund for a change of mind or for a month you did not use. The one exception is a duplicate or incorrect charge made by our billing: tell us within 30 days and we correct it within 10 working days. The build fee is charged only after you have approved your site, which is exactly why it is not refundable afterwards.

What happens to our lot pages and articles if we cancel?

Your site stays live and fully managed until the end of the month you have paid for. We provide an export of your content and articles within 14 days of your final day of service, and your domain stays registered in your name; tell us where to transfer it and we move it at no charge.
